I didnt get fouled by them...but I did see 3 of them in a tree ...and they let out the most horrific snarls I, or anyone will EVER hear! One of them climbed down a few branches towards us, causing a few people to shriek and run. It was pretty insane. The spider monkeys probably steer clear of these guys.
Well...Jamie (the British Bloke) just set down a cold Gallo Cerveza in front of me...I am going to jump in the pool and then take a nap. I have been up and out of the hotel since 4 a.m.! Tomorrow we go back to Belize and to a forest lodge for 3 days. I think my next post my be on Saturday after I return from a full day caving at the ATM Cave...no it doesnt have money flowing out of the walls...I already asked. ATM stands for some 3 word Mayan name that I dont have in front of me.
I have found a sauce that blows Tapatio away! Its called Mrs. Sharps...it is a carrot based, habanero sauce...SO hot...SO much flavor! Kevin (group leader) and I want to be US distributors for it. I am going to bring home as many bottles as I can so everyone can try it.
OK...keep those comments coming. Talk at you later! I can sleep well now that I finally saw monkeys!

OMG I am so excited that you finally got to meet your monkey army in person! Did they salute their human overlord? It doesn't sound like it. Not even with feces. What a disappointment.
Monkeys! Yay. You have made me unreasonably happy.
Hi Dad
Taco Bell is knocked down. (Mom's comment: for remodeling.)
Yeah, right. The monkeys don't even sound like Darth Vader.
I had fun at Amey's and I spent the night last night. We went to the beach with the dogs.
Love, CHRIS
I forgot to tell you. I got new shoes. We got them at Mervyn's. They're white. They're sneakers.

Jeremy.
Hector turned me on to your blog. I've been laughing all morning. You are a great storyteller. I feel like I'm there with you. Sounds like you're having too much fun. Just when you get totally comfortable being so laid back, you'll have to come back to reality.... :( Can't wait for the next update from the Beeg Man... Take care and see you when you get back...
ooo ooo oooh ahh ahh ahh!
That's monkey speak, in case you didn't figure it out!
I've heard that those howler monkeys make some crazy crazy sounds. I hope it wasn't too scary. Did you see a Toucan? How was Tikal? Did you see any Mayan carvings?
We had a great time with CW when he came over. To my surprise, he wanted to go to CKC for a while, so I dropped him off there and did a few errands. Then we came home and walked the dogs and just played together. I made spicy "chicken" burritos, but I guess I made them too spicy and he didn't like them. He ended up having a piece of musty's left over pizza for dinner. Then, while I was teaching class, Musty & Chris did about an hour and a half of math together! Chris had a great time! In the morning, I made us all a big fun pancake breakfast with fresh strawberries on the side. He is such a sweet little snugglebug in the morning - I loved it!!
Hope that you keep on having fun, the cave sounds very cool!
Love Amey
Hi Jer-It's so fun to read about your trip. It takes me back to visiting the Copan Mayan ruins in Honduras when I was 15 (http://www.eveandersson.com/honduras/copan). Out here in Tallahassee we have our own jungle-like conditions right now. Nothing like your jungle, but we have humid swampy air and tall green trees everywhere you look... and SO MANY birds and bugs and squirrels and lizards (which all make quite a racket!). The most fun thing is that a little bird recently turned our mailbox into a nest and is taking care of three tiny little eggs right outside our front door. I take a peek now and then but don't look too often because I don't want to scare the little guy. My semester is almost over, which I'm very happy about... and I'm planning to visit Santa Cruz in May so I hope I'll see you then and hear about your trip first hand!
The people are demanding more blog action!
I miss you!
Happy 420 Indiana Jump!
